What is Pre/Post assessment? And how does that affect my appointment time?
Every session starts with a pre treatment assessment so that we are on the same page about what the session goals will be. We will spend 5-7 minutes checking to see if there are new areas to address or if something has come up between sessions that may change the type of you work you would like. Likewise, we spend 5-7 minutes afterwards discussing what may need more work for future sessions or what you can do on your own to improve outcomes. In total plan about 15 additional minutes into your visit. The pre/post assessment does not shorten your treatment time so long as we are within the 15 minutes allotted.
I don't like oils or creams, what type of modality is available?
Shiatsu, Craniosacral therapy, Reiki, and Sound healing are done fully clothed, loose comfortable non binding clothes, without the use of oils. Hot stones may also be used in combination with these modalities.
There are many options, I'm not sure what to pick.
Integrative health education is what I recommend because a variety of modalities will be used. I call it health education because the session will teach both of us in real time where muscles are restricted, tissue is congested and/or where range of motion is limited. I will use hot stones, therapeutic essential oil blends and singing bowls in combination with different massage techniques to allow muscles to soften, let go and tissue to ease and decongest.
I want to try a new modality like Craniosacral but I don't want an entire session, what do I choose.
When scheduling, there are combination sessions to choose from, Massage and Craniosacral (CST), CST and sound healing etc. You can always choose integrated health education and during our check in you can let me know what new modality you would like to try. We can do 60 minutes massage and 15/30 minutes CST, sound healing or reiki. Every session is personalized for you.
Do your gift certificates have expiration dates?
No, the gift certificates do not expire. If my rates go up, the certificate will be honored for one year after purchase, regardless of pricing difference. After a year, if my prices have changed, the purchase price will be applied to the session and only the difference in price will be charged.
